St. Sava's Temple
...construction of the church began in 1935, 340 years after the burning of Saint Sava's remains. The dome was placed in 1989. The mass for Zoran Djindjić, former prime minister of Serbia who was assassinated in 2003 was held there, and in 2009 the church was deemed complete.
